Arts commissioners seeks new county poet laureate

The Clark County Arts Commission is accepting applications for a resident who will serve as the next Clark County Poet Laureate. The commission is seeking an experienced poet to share his or her passion for the literary form with the community. This two-year position includes public speaking engagements, teaching, open mic readings and stewardship in Poetry Moves, an Arts of Clark County program in partnership with C-Tran that puts poems by local poets on every bus. The next Clark County Poet Laureate terms begins January 2018. The Clark County Poet Laureate position is voluntary, but the commission is seeking funding for this valuable program.
