The Individual Artist Grant is designed to assist artists in the creation, promotion and/or presentation of their work.

Media: All (visual, written, sound, dance, etc.)
Number of awards:   Up to five awarded annually
Award amount: Up to $500
Frequency: Annual
Application available: May 15, 2016
Application deadline: August 15, 2016
Grant awarded: October 15, 2016

Type of award: Project-based. This award is intended to support the completion of a defined project which, upon completion, will be publicly exhibited, presented, performed, or published in Clark County, Washington.

Eligibility: Any artist, 21 years or older, whose permanent residence is within the boundaries of Clark County, Washington.

Non eligible: Members of the Board of Arts of Clark County or the Clark County Arts Commission, members of the selection committee or their immediate families. Artists who have received the grant in the past three years.

Submission selection: Submissions will be judged on the quality of work samples, strength of the project description, feasibility of the proposed project, and constructive use of the funds.

Selection panel: A panel of 3-5 artists or art professionals will be on the selection committee. At least two members of the Board of Arts of Clark County will be represented.

Submission:

  • Artist statement – Up to 500 words
  • Artist resume
  • Project description – Up to 500 words
  • Proposed budget/timeline
  • 5-10 examples of related art works
  • List/description of example files submitted

Expectations: All grant winners will be expected to complete their proposed phase of their projects within a calendar year of the award. Grant recipients should report back to the committee how the materials were used and how it helped further their projects at the conclusion of that year.

The Arts Organization Grant is designed to assist organizations with the completion of projects that benefit the Clark County arts community and align with the vision of Arts of Clark County.

Number of awards: Up to two awarded annually
Award amount: Up to $1,000
Frequency: Annual
Application available: May 15, 2016
Application deadline: August 15, 2016
Grant awarded: October 15, 2016

Type of award: Project-based. This award is intended to support the completion of a defined project which, upon completion, will be publicly exhibited, presented, performed, or published in Clark County, Washington. Organization operational costs will not be funded.

Eligibility: Any 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that is physically located in Clark County, Washington

Non eligible: Organizations that have received the grant in the past three years.

Submission selection: Submissions will be judged on the quality of project examples submitted, strength of the project description, feasibility of the proposed project, and constructive use of the funds.

Selection panel: A panel of 3-5 artists or art professionals will be on the selection committee. At least two members of the Board of Arts of Clark County will be represented.
